Brand New Version as of September 2023!

The steel has been upgraded to 51crV4 with a black zinc plating.  This means the tool is stronger and more resistant to corrosion.

We still recommend using a penetrating lubricant prior to removing freewheels as many have been seized on after years of use.

Having trouble removing a pesky freewheel on a Bafang 750 watt motor?  Due to the large motor plug, standard tools just don't work!  We've taken on the challenge and decided to make our own.

UPDATE:  To keep up with demand and maintain quality we have moved production of these tools to a specialized supplier overseas.

Works on both Shimano and DNP FreeWheels.

Flats are designed for a 23mm wrench.

    Love the tool, this is my second one. I wore out the teeth on the first one which I don’t think is avoidable on your end. I would love to see a design change on the tool in the future though. The part of the tool where you put the wrench on, tends to become egg shaped due to smacking the wrench with a rubber mallet. Once egg shaped, it’s tough to slip it back over the axle nut. I would love to see the wrench attachment area beefed up somewhat on the outside. This would improve the tool greatly!

    This tool allows me to confidently work on the rear wheel of my wife’s bike. Respect to Area13 for the thoughtful testing they performed while developing this tool.

    You have acknowledged to me it's been 14 days now since you held up you're end of our barging. I held up my end by giving you my money I have no updates and complete ghosting by your delivery service. ETA anyone? My guess is your gonna victim blame me.

    The first tool Area 13 shipped to me in New Zealand went missing somewhere in transit. I contacted them about the non-delivery and they straightaway said they would ship a replacement via DHL which arrived promptly. Great service - thank you.
