Brand New Version as of September 2023!
The steel has been upgraded to 51crV4 with a black zinc plating. This means the tool is stronger and more resistant to corrosion.
We still recommend using a penetrating lubricant prior to removing freewheels as many have been seized on after years of use.

Having trouble removing a pesky freewheel on a Bafang 750 watt motor? Due to the large motor plug, standard tools just don't work! We've taken on the challenge and decided to make our own.
UPDATE: To keep up with demand and maintain quality we have moved production of these tools to a specialized supplier overseas.
Works on both Shimano and DNP FreeWheels.
Flats are designed for a 23mm wrench.

Freewhell removal tool News...
Fit perfection

Not...
The tool seemed well machined and finished. Looked heat treated as well. It fit over the plug, nut and washer. The splines did not fit at all. Wrong shape and size. So just expensive paper weight. Guess I'm just cutting the cable at this point. Disappointed.

Waiting...
Still have not recieved the order, today is a holiday here so hopefully I will be pleasantly suprised in a couple of days. I will send you feed back then. cheers.

A bit...
The tool was quite snug and didn’t allow for our axle nuts to pass through. We sanded the inside a couple millimeters to allow space for the hardware to pass. Please keep this in mind for future production runs. Thank you

Over priced...
Worked great. Not sure why it cost me $65.00 with the cheapest shipping available. Gouge-ragious!

Bafang 750w freewheel tool
Great tool, as advertised.

Bent on the first use
This is so utterly disappointing. I paid almost $150 CAD after shipping and duties and it never even removed a single freewheel. Not only that, I now have a bent tool stuck in the hub. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Removal...
Removal tool works great. But controller does not work.

When you need it, you need...
This is my second tool. The first one bent removing a particularly stubborn freewheel. Even using anti seize compound on the threads they can be a bugger to get loose. But this is the only tool I have found that works, so I try to be as careful as one can be using a wrench with a breaker bar. Most of the time it works with no damage to the tool. It’s expensive but I’m just grateful that somebody makes this, thanks Area 13.
