How much power will this add?

We have dyno tested the stock RadRover 6+ before and after installing this kit.  Peak performance at the rear wheel was 716 watts and 27.3nm of torque on the stock bike.  With the upgrade kit installed we doubled power to 1,503 watts, and increased torque over 50nm!

Has not yet been tested with the "premium" headlight from Radpower and is not recommended at this time.

Compatible with both 48v and 52 batteries.  (NOT recommended for 60v)

    Had some trouble with the new controller and Area 13 took care of it fast. Great service and very knowledgeable staff. Definitely will use them again.

    Received controller. It worked except for error message. Sent it back. Still haven’t got it back. Missed a month of good riding.

    I used this with a city 5+ wheel/motor and harness. It works great- I haven’t figured out the speedometer- it’s in km and seems off- but my speed sensor could be bad in my wheel I can’t verify. Everything else is great but I miss the tunability of the square wave kit- slightly. The battery life is slightly better than the square wave kit, but not as different as I expected. Overall I would buy this over the square wave. ( I also have a city 5+ wheel that I changed the plug on and run the square wave kit).

    Other than two different size torx screws on my bike instead of the two 10’s in the instructions, the conversion was a piece of cake. I mounted the controller box on the rear rack supports which helped me clean up the miles of extra cabling Rad put on the bike. Torque is awesome! Level 3 of the new controller is like 5 in the old one and I had to dial down 5 to 90% to keep from over powering the original systems. I was going to get a different bike this summer and consider my RR6+ a secondary bike but the $130 spent in the new controller changed all of that. Get it!
