    I still need...

Posted by Curtis Alva on Sep 22nd 2023

these guys are very customer oriented, and I love that, but i bought a 750 watt motor and it takes a special tool to remove the freewheel and Area 13’s supplier has stopped supplying, so now I have a new motor and no way to install it. I can’t find one anywhere on the internet.

    Great...

My wife and I have 2 identical Rad Rovers with the upgraded controllers so I can give a very accurate review comparing the 2 bikes and the one with the new motor is a lot quicker. Only negative is that the replacement was on my wife’s and not mine. Thanks again Area 13 for all your help..

    much better hill climbing...

Posted by eric jones on Jul 3rd 2023

the motor gives lots better hill climbing power and acceleration however it is possible to get motor position sensor fault witch i think is due to the motor cable getting hot due to heavy demands of long hills and stop and start . otherwise works very well

Good replacement motor, packing could be...

Posted by Kraig Snure on Jun 27th 2023

So far, the motor is running great. My only issue is with the way it was shipped. The box arrived with a large hole in it with the steel shaft protruding. The motor was packed in loose styrofoam pieces which did not hold it securely in the box. Pieces of broken styrofoam found their way into the windings of the motor. It took me awhile to get them cleaned out, I hope I got them all. I was worried about hidden damage but the motor runs good so it appears to have survived the rough shipping trip. The motor shaft should really have caps or something protecting the ends so they cannot push through the sides of the box during shipping.

    Radwagon 4 motor...

Easy replacement - the original motor was getting loud and rough after ~7000km - way more power with this new one! Great investment to keep the bike going strong!
