The Aventure.2 comes out of the box as a Class II ebike, with pedal assist and throttle going up to 20 MPH . It can be unlocked to a Class III ebike and can go up to 28 MPH on pedal assist. The Aventure.2 will also operate with the throttle unplugged and removed, should you want to ride in an area where throttles are prohibited.
Aventure.2 Step Through comes in 2 sizes to suit most adults.

Aventon ebikes are built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IPX4 means that your bike is resistant to water splashes from any direction. This means it’s OK to ride your ebike in light rain. It won’t be harmed by spray from a wet road or raindrops. Your ebike is not intended to be exposed to prolonged rain or submerged or subjected to a pressurized spray. Don’t use a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike.

The people at Area 13 were very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. After 2 weeks of commuting to work up and down a grade of 860ft in 5.5 miles I am very happy with my Aventure 2 e-bike. It works as expected. Downhill I hardly have to do anything and use about 6% of the battery charge. Uphill I use max power assist and, in some places, have to downshift to 1st gear, but still go at about 8-9 mph with a little sweat on my forehead and battery charge drops down about 35%. Just the workout I was looking for. On the flat I can easily cruise at about 19-20 mph. The free spare battery promotion was promised but hasn't arrived yet. I already purchased an extra charger, so I'll have one at home and one at work. I also bought some aftermarket accessories, like a mirror and 2 panniers for laptop and groceries. I also bought a good lock, but it would be nice to also have a built-in lock, like some bikes do.

I love my bike! And I got amazing service at Area 13! I think I test road every bike in the shop and the staff was so patient and encouraging. I felt very confident that I was getting the right bike for me. And I did!!! I’m having a blast riding it!
