    Outrageous fun!

Posted by Dan cloud on Feb 25th 2023

Outrageous fun! I’ve rode a few E bikes last couple years. And when I ordered my foxbat from Bolton I didn’t know what to expect. Just by reading everything on the bike I thought this is exactly what I was looking for. I went with the upgrade on the battery and the custom gooseneck. Spectacular! Over and above what I was expecting. I’ve had it a week and a half and I’ve already got over 100 miles on it. You literally can’t stop when you get on it you just want to keep riding. And I do. I don’t know what more I can say that everybody else writing reviews for this haven’t said. I am 62 years old I have a bad back and every time I go out for a long ride I come back feeling like a million bucks. Kyle and everybody at Bolton are awesome people to deal with. Thank you guys so much for everything! And I will be ordering a bike for my wife in the near future from Bolton.

    Love this bike!

Really enjoying this bike. I live in a very hilly area on the big island of Hawaii. It is 7 miles to the beach, all downhill. I can ride on gravel trails and even on the beach, go for a swim and head back up hill. I can make adjustments and get up the hill with little effort or as much effort as I want. I have sampled other, more expensive, ebikes at shops here. There are many great e bikes out there but I am certain I made the right choice. Thank you Bolton Bikes.

This bike is an absolute BEAST and SOOOO much fun to ride!

Posted by Gregg Scharnagl on Feb 25th 2023

I bought this bike because I was looking for something to get me out of the house and a little exercise. I never dreamed that I'd be riding it the places I've taken it so far. 200+ miles in about a month vs. about 25 miles over the past 30 YEARS on my regular bike. I've done 25+ mile round trips on a great local bike path I'd only seen about the first 5 miles of, and what's better than that is that this trail has opportunities to go off the paved trail and do some real mountain biking. I've gone up some really steep hills with no problem, and have had an absolute BALL on it whether I'm riding it on the trail, on the road or through the woods! I'm at the point where I can't wait to get out and ride it. Last night I took off on a ride after work about 15 minutes before dark and got home about an hour after dark. We're getting 3 inches of rain and 45 mph winds here today, and I'm still trying to figure out when I can get a ride in today! All the components on this bike are top notch--they're what you'd use if you were building a bike yourself. What that means is that this bike is top of the line right out of the box with no upgrades necessary. The 1000w motor is an absolute monster, the battery gives me 50+ mile range, the fat tires will eat up just about everything. Buying this bike was literally life-changing for me. I am having SO much fun with it and am thrilled with my choice. The only choice on whether or not to buy this bike should be the color--otherwise a no-brainer!

FoxBat 1000 watt mid-drive fat bike is a great upgrade from the SDream T350.

Posted by Daniel Wolf on Feb 25th 2023

Last year in April I started riding an SDream T350 at the age of 56 and learned a lot about e-bikes and got better at riding. In November I wanted to try something more and ordered the FoxBat. I really like the 4" fat tires and smooth and powerful motor. It really absorbs the trail bumps and is a solid frame. Bolton Bikes are well built and worked right after a few set-up steps that only took about 90 minutes to complete. I am very happy with Kyle and his team!

    Strong and Capable

I've had the Foxbat for two months. I've ridden some hilly territory in Southern Indiana and North Central Kentucky. This bike has the power to go up some real chin scraper hills. It's very comfortable and I recommend watching the Kyle's video on adjusting the bike for comfort. The brakes are also very good to descend sharp drops with great control. One of the things I like most is the looks. Its is a head turner and people often complement the looks. I highly recommend this bike and it is definitely worth the wait for the order to be delivered.

I'm 57 years young I haven't been on a bike since 1980 when I got my first car. My average trip has been around 35 miles. My top speed is only 28 miles per hour. Just riding around I go around 17 I have plenty of battery left over at the end of my ride. There's a small ski hill on one of my trips it's fun going down turn around and go right back up.

Perfect for harsh winter commute and for fun when the weather is nice!

Posted by Matt W on Feb 25th 2023

I purchased the Foxbat in September for the purpose of winter commuting in Vermont. My commute is about 4 miles each way with a 1-mile, 5% grade hill. I have ridden the Foxbat 700 miles so far, commuting every day to work and some rides for fun. I hate driving and missing the bus, so this has been a life changer! It's a tank but it's got enough power to zip me up the hills (I'm a big guy) with my pannier full. In December, the bike handled a few light snowstorms with ease. But for real winter I installed studded tires and pogies (both 45nrth) . So far, I have ridden in just about every condition I expect to see. 6" of fresh snow, -12F temperatures, wind, rain, sheets of ice, you name it. The only time I felt that the bike wouldn't handle the conditions was when there was a big snowstorm and the bike path was heavily trodden by foot traffic by the evening. The uneven terrain caused bouncing and a loss of traction, so I had to ride home on the roads. The battery gets a little sluggish around 6F or below, but I store and charge it inside. The battery is heavy, but easily removable and I don't have to carry it far. The saddle that came with the bike is not the one shown in the picture, but a dinner-plate style seat. You'll probably want to replace it and upgrade the lighting if you have a long dark commute. I absolutely love the Foxbat! Report as Inappropriate

    1000 mile update

Posted by william drake on Feb 25th 2023

Prior to moving to Portland, Or. i had a total knee replacement of the left knee. Once i became more mobile after surgery my wife of 53 years and i moved to Portland, Oregon to get closer to family and mostly the grandkids. After getting settled in Portland i decided to purchase an ebike to continue therapy with my new knee and to stay flexible. This was the best idea i have had in quite some time. Also downsized a one car. In early 2021 had decided on purchasing a Foxbat from Bolton E-Bikes out of Grass Valley, Ca. I had great expectations of this bike and let me tell you after 1000 miles on this bike i just can't say enough good things about. It has met and exceeded my expectations. Absolutely no issues as of yet with this bike. It is a beast and i love it. I ride it almost daily and even when i go to the local golf course i hook my Burley Travoy trailer up, load my clubs onto it and head out for a round of golf. This bike has changed my life and i travel everywhere on it. In closing i want to thank Kyle and his team for support. They have been the best. Congratulations to Area 13, simply the BEST. Bill Drake
