Rad Rover 6+ Upgrade Kit V2.1 - 6 plus

Performance is great. I did have an Eggrider before this upgrade and this is on another level for performance.

Turned my rover into a new bike. Unfortunately there was minor damage due to shipping but not holding you to that part. My only issue is the pause there is to kick in when in pas mode. There's a2 second delay. How do I change that?

Wife and I have had our Radrover 6+ bikes 3 years, just over 2K miles. My controller confirmed dead by authorized bike shop. Informed controller from Rad Power on back order. Was going to upgrade anyway, did my research, this upgrade kit is the best and slightly less expensive than one other i found. Area 13 had these on back order also, but well worth the wait. I DIY all my equipment whenever possible. This was fairly easy install. Had to call Area 13 twice to fine tune settings to have everything accurate, correct. Wife's bike controller was still good, but upgraded her bike after mine in half the time it took for my bike. What a difference! Original controller/display so lame and weak. This upgrade worth every penny. We did some local short rides to feel out the performance, get used to the much better torque, power. We are seniors, do paved bike trails mostly and some dirt roads, no big time off road stuff. Very pleased. Zip tied controller to seat post ok, but would like to see some bracket or better attachment in the future, but by no means a deal breaker. The display is AWESOME, big, in color, lot of features. The pedal assist controller also replaces the Radpower one and is connected to the display. Again way better than original. Front and rear brake and headlights work as before except you have to manually turn on the headlight each time you power up bike. Gained a few more mph, 24-25, but really notice the added torque which is doubled from original. No big testing on battery consumption but only slightly more drain, range drop. Will be doing 2nd battery install, 20A and equalizer from Area 13 next on both our bikes. Been planning this long ago, thru research, glad I found out about Area 13. Top notch customer service, well engineered, designed gear. You will not be disappointed.

Had some trouble with the new controller and Area 13 took care of it fast. Great service and very knowledgeable staff. Definitely will use them again.

Received controller. It worked except for error message. Sent it back. Still haven’t got it back. Missed a month of good riding.
