    Cradle XT60 Purchased for Rack Mounting Spare...

    I purchased this cradle so I could mount a spare battery on the rear rack of my New “Bolton” Black Bird & couldn’t be happier. I simply cut a piece of smooth wood board 15.5 inches by 5 inches and placed on the top of the rear rack. Another board slightly smaller was cut to fit below the rear rack. After positioning the XT60 cradle on the “Top Board" I drilled holes through both of the carefully positioned boards. With 4 long bolts, washers & split lock washers I was able to bolt the XT60 cradle securely to the Rear Rack without drilling any holes through the actual metal rack. Just sandwich it all together and tighten it up. With the boards painted black they blend nicely with the bike and battery. Please Note: the spare battery was not wired as a dual battery setup because the spare battery can easily be exchanged out during a ride with the original battery on the bike. This is the primary reason why I purchased the “Bolton” Black Bird over the "Step Thru Model" because the batteries are identical on my bike. I am so happy with my new bike and can’t say enough good things about Area 13 !! All purchases with Area 13 have been flawless and all of my questions were promptly answered through emails.
