limited time review but loving it so...

Posted by James Marshall on Jan 11th 2024

I’ve only had the Blackbird for 2 weeks but so far it is outstanding. The bike exceeds my expectations. Yesterday for instance, I rode the Blackbird on a 15 mile loop near my home and had an amazing amount of power on levels 1-3 power assist. My goal in purchasing the Blackbird was to help me get into better physical condition. I’m 62 and struggling to find an activity to become engaged in to boast my activity. So far the Blackbird appears to meet that objective. It is a breeze to setup from the box, the riding comfort is awesome and it appears the range will exceed my exception. Right now the weather is not allowing long rides of 30 pluse miles, but I don’t see any reason to expect any issues. I plan to use the Blackbird on rural roads with little traffic and am looking forward to springtime to hit the roads for riding. Hope to give y’all and update in the future. Happy riding my Area 13 friends———James

Fast service and a very nice product. Works fine on my 2019 RAD City Step Thru even tho there isn’t a button… Would recommend and buy again if needed.

Thumb throttle works, Eunorau controller doesn’t.

Not happy with Eunorau controller and/or Specter S after only 2 weeks of a new bike. Having spent $5,000 on a bike that I can not fix or ride now is beyond frustrating, especially now that it must be returned. I believe I’m giving up on Area 13’s brand of Eunorau and hopefully exchanging the Specter S to another brand that will work better.
