Brand New Version as of September 2023!

The steel has been upgraded to 51crV4 with a black zinc plating.  This means the tool is stronger and more resistant to corrosion.

We still recommend using a penetrating lubricant prior to removing freewheels as many have been seized on after years of use.

PLEASE READ FULL DISCRIPTION BEFORE ORDERING. CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR RETURN SHIPPING AND A 10% RESTOCKING FEE.

Having trouble removing a pesky freewheel on a Bafang 750 watt motor?  Due to the large motor plug, standard tools just don't work!  We've taken on the challenge and decided to make our own.

UPDATE:  To keep up with demand and maintain quality we have moved production of these tools to a specialized supplier overseas.

Works on both Shimano and DNP FreeWheels.

Flats are designed for a 23mm wrench.

The removal tool was very easy to use and did the job of keeping the electric cord from my rear hub motor out the way...I would highly recommend it...excellent service and came quite quickly to England from America

Bafang 750 Watt FreeWheel Removal Tool

Posted by Erin on May 12th 2023

As many other reviewers have stated, I also had to file my 18mm nut edges to get the tool to slide over it. Furthermore, I also had to file three washers to get them to fit. I have an Himiway Big Dog. I also believe the tool is a little expensive but where else are you going to find a tool like this. It was EXTREMELY hard to get the tool into the shimano freewheel. But after putting it in and taking it out, it was easier to push in/out.

The tool did work after a little grinding on the edges of the nut. 50$ plus another 10 to ship is kind of crazy. Come on guys at least take care of shipping for the the very small items

    Didn’t...

The tool was too small to fit over the axle but, which can’t be removed over the motor plug. We had to ream out the tool to fit.

Free wheel removal tool for Bafang 750...

Posted by Kevin Conzone on May 10th 2023

It worked, but when i received the tool i could not get it to fit over the nut, the edges of the nut were hitting the inside of the tool. So i emailed AEEA 13 and was told to file the edges of the nut, which ibdid and then it fit. So if your tool and nut are a rubbing together file the edges of your nut..lol???

    Bfg750W FreeWheel Removal Socket WORKS!

Posted by JOCK WETMILLER on May 9th 2023

I really appreciate you tooling this special socket tool for this application. I had on problem though, but remedied it without very much destruction. The axle nut (the 18mm one) was just a hair too big, and I had to slightly grind the peaks of the nut to get passage through the socket. Fortunately it didn't effect the wrenching or torquing of the nut after FreeWheel change out. The EPOCH freewheel I removed of my ViTiLan i7 Pro, appears to have a larger Cassette locking ring of 12 teeth, that I can't seem to find a tool for it to possibly change out the cassette on that freewheel hub. Maybe you could refer me to where I could obtain one of those. It appears to be over 30mm in outside tooth diameter. :) Thanks for creating the proper tool for the job!
